  2. The presenting sponsor and administrator of the Sweepstakes is Alaska Vacations & Travel, having an address of 507 E Street, Suite, 206, Anchorage Alaska 99501.
  3. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 a.m. AST on May 1, 2007 (the "Start Date") and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. AST on August 31, 2007 (the "End Date").
  4. The Sweepstakes is open only to persons who are 18 years of age or older and have a valid e-mail address as of the Start Date applicable to their method of entry. Certain prize components, such as the Thrifty Car Rental, are redeemable only by person 25 years of age or older.
  5. One grand prize winner will receive a trip for 2 people to Alaska. The winner will be able to select from the travel components presented as prize choices and combine them into a dream package of up to 14 days in length. All travel must occur between May 15 and September 15, 2007 and be completed by September 15, 2007. Since the choices presented add up to more than 14 days, the winner will need to choose the subset of travel choices he/she is most interested in. The local Alaska travel experts at Alaska Vacations & Travel will assist the winner in planning and booking their itinerary. The grand prize winning couple must travel on the same dates and itinerary, including flights, ship, train, hotel, and car rental. The winning couple will share a double occupancy hotel room and ship cabin. If rental car is included in the dream package, the winning couple will travel in the same vehicle. The winning couple will have the option, however, of choosing different activities at each destination, subject to availability and scheduling constraints. During the busy Alaska summer season, availability of all components the winner happens to select cannot be guaranteed within the desired travel dates. Travel dates will be subject to availability. Inclusion of specific components on the chosen travel dates will be subject to the availability of those components. Sponsor furthermore reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Goldstar Service on the Alaska Railroad is limited. When not available, you will be accommodated in Bluestar service and offered a free meal voucher. Additional restrictions on car rental: If you choose to include car rental in your dream package, the car rental prize is valid at either of the Thrifty Car Rental locations in Anchorage, Alaska. The prize may not be redeemed at any other Thrifty location. Sponsor will provide the base rate for car rental free. Winner will be responsible for gas, taxes, and fees outlined below. Winner must be 25 years of age. Winner must present a valid credit card to cover these charges; check and debit cards will not be accepted. Free rental does not include: LDW, SLI, PAI/PEP, airport concession fee recovery 11.11%, when renting from our on airport location or if Thrifty transports you from the airport. Rates do not include: Municipality of Anchorage car rental sales tax 8%. State of Alaska Car Rental tax 10%. Rates do not include: vehicle licensing fee $ 2.00 per day, gasoline or extra hours. Customer Facility Charge (CFC) $ 4.30 per day for all airport rentals. Rates are based on 24-hour rental day. There is an extra charge for additional renters. Maximum length of stay for individual hotel components are as follows: Sheraton Anchorage Hotel, 3 nights; Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, 1 night; McKinley Chalet Resort, 3 nights; Glacier Bay Lodge & Tours, 2 nights; River’s Edge Resort in Fairbanks, 3 nights; Kennicott Glacier Lodge, 3 nights; Holiday Inn Express Seward, 3 nights. Two different Cruise West cruises are included as prize choices, but a maximum of one can be included in the dream package. Both the Prince William Sound Glacier Wonderland Cruise and the Glacier Bay Highlights Cruise come in either a 3-night or 4-night version, depending upon travel dates chosen.
  6. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
  7. The Prize cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be substituted or transferred by the winner.
  8. There are 2 ways to enter the Sweepstakes: a) go to AlaskaAirAlaska.com/static/sweepstakes, enter the required information and click submit; b) Mail–in Entry: Legibly handwrite your name, mailing address and valid email address, affix proper postage on the postcard or envelope, and mail it to: Entry, "Your Alaska Dream Trip Sweepstakes,” PO Box 103455, Anchorage, AK 99510. All mail–in entries must be postmarked by April 6, 2007 and received by Alaska Vacations & Travel by April 13, 2007. Entrants can receive additional entries when referring the sweepstakes opportunity to a friend through the online submission form. When your friend registers online, you will receive one additional entry. A maximum of 5 additional entries can be earned through friend referrals. In addition, entrants can earn one additional entry by filling out the online dream trip checklist indicating activities and destinations of interest. In other words, one entrant can have a maximum of 7 entries.
  9. Alaska Vacations & Travel is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, including any which may affect your entry or the Sweepstakes. Alaska Vacations & Travel is not responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, late or illegible entries. Entries that are generated by a script, macro, or other automated means are prohibited and such entries and/or those otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are disqualified. All entries received by facsimile are disqualified. Alaska Vacations & Travel shall have the absolute right to determine if an entry is in compliance with these Official Rules without notice to the person attempting to enter.
  10. By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by these Official Rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the Sweepstakes. Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Alaska Vacations & Travel and its affiliates, shareholders, employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers from any liability arising from or related to the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, or claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
  11. Employees and agents, including their family (parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their household (whether or not related), of Alaska Vacations & Travel, Alaska Airlines, Cruise West, Thrifty Car Rental, and the Alaska Railroad, or any other businesses affiliates, parent companies, distributors, divisions, agencies or of any related entity, including any consultants to Alaska Vacations & Travel, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.
  12. The winner will be determined by a random selection conducted by Alaska Vacations & Travel from among all eligible entries on or around Sept 1, 2007. All results of the selection are final and binding, subject to Paragraph 13 below.
  13. In the event a winning entry is discovered to be invalid for any reason whatsoever or the person who submitted the winning entry fails to comply with these Official Rules prior to delivery of the prize, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. The winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and compliance with the rules and to allow the use of their names or photographs in future promotions.
  14. If by reason of a printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these Official Rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a computerized random selection to award the advertised number of prizes available.   15. Attempts to notify the winner will be made by e-mail only within 3 days of the computerized random selection. Alaska Vacations & Travel is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures or delivery problems of any kind. If unable to make contact with the winner within 7 days after Alaska Vacations & Travel first attempts to notify the winner, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Once the winner is notified, he/she will have an additional 10 days to plan and finalize reservations for the package, working with the local travel experts at Alaska Vacations & Travel.
  16. To obtain a list of the official winner (after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes), send a self–addressed envelope with the proper postage affixed to: Winner, "Your Alaska Dream Trip Sweepstakes," 507 E Street, Suite 206, Anchorage Alaska 99501. Please be certain to specify that you are requesting the "Official Winner List for the Your Alaska Dream Trip Sweepstakes."
  17. WINNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING AND PAYING ANY AND ALL INCOME, SALES OR EXCISE TAXES THAT MAY APPLY; SPONSOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR AND WILL NOT PAY ANY SUCH TAXES.

By entering the Sweepstakes, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, image and biographical data for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. BECAUSE ALASKA VACATIONS & TRAVEL COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM PARTICIPANTS ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ALASKA VACATIONS & TRAVEL ENCOURAGES ALL PARTICIPANTS TO REVIEW ITS PRIVACY POLICY, WHICH CAN BE REVIEWED AT WWW.ALASKAAIRALASKA.COM.
  19. Alaska Vacations & Travel reserves the right to terminate the Sweepstakes or modify any rules as necessary for any reason or as required by applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify from the Sweepstakes, and ban from any future sweepstakes, any person it believes to have intentionally violated these Official Rules or tampered with any element of the Sweepstakes without notice to the disqualified and/or banned person.
  20. All entry information and materials become the property of Alaska Vacations & Travel and will not be returned.
  21. This contest is conducted in Alaska. The construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Alaska Vacations & Travel in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska. By entering the contest, entrants agree that any legal action resulting from this Sweepstakes shall be brought only in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the Third Judicial District of Alaska.
